FROM FIRENZE AIRPORT:

Take train to Pistoia, change for Pracchia, then bus; or bus from Pistoia.

To be able to take the last bus up to San Marcello, you will need to catch the train which arrives at Pistoia from Firenze at 20.16.

FROM PISA AIRPORT:

Take train to Lucca, then bus.

To catch last bus to Popiglio, take train arrivingLucca at 20.11.

Remember to stamp your ticket before entering the train (small yellow boxes, in and around the train station).

Coming up from Pistoia, bus 54 goes to San Marcello, which is 8km. from Popiglio. Buses depart from outside Pistoia train station about every hour, last one at 20.25. You can get even nearer to Popiglio if you take the bus all the way to Ponte Lima which is about 3km from Popiglio; but not all buses go past San Marcello.

Bus 70 goes all the way to Popiglio; it leaves from outside Pistoia train station at 13.44 on weekdays: for Sundays, please check the time tables.

The numbers of the buses are not visible on the vehicles, but the destination of the bus is displayed in bold letters up front.
